It’s Katy’s birthday and she’s celebrating by telling tales of guardian angels from the television show Celebrity Ghost Stories featuring Muriel Hemingway and 30 Rock’s Kevin Brown.
Katy and Morgan are travelling so we’re reposting a wonderful episode from November about a legend in Maine, where Katy went! So tune in for this hilarious and spooky time.
It’s time Morgan and Katy addressed a truly fascinating and long dismissed element of paranormal activity: the weather. Namely, fog. Lifted from an episode of American Supernatural featured on the Weather Channel, Katy takes us through the legend of Catherine’s Hill, the story of a forlorn and possibly nefarious lady who haunts a coastal Maine road. And as a special treat, she reads a truly terrifying listener story. Not terrifying because of the spirit itself, but because of what might have happened if the spirit hadn’t intervened. So buckle yourself in for a ride through Black Woods road where you might encounter Catherine, or worse–FOG!
Katy recalls Most Haunted’s journey through the abandoned wing of Yorkshire’s Saltmarshe Hall, a massive regency manor home with extremely active spirits. Listen as the Most Haunted team unseals a floor of the abandoned wing that hasn’t been touched since it was closed in the 1930s, and the terror and hilarity that ensues.
Morgan returns with the wonderful, spooky, and undoubtedly funny story of the Donnelley Clan, a violent little family who settled in Canada in the 19th Century. Their grim exploits and the “justice” they were ultimately served form the basis of a haunting that continues to this day. Throw in a terrifying listener story and this episode has it all.
Katy dives deep into a fascinating state (and a fascinating dialect) in this episode from camp. Listen for old Maine folktales and lore as well as true crime and cover-ups; get to the bottom of a mysterious death, and a mysterious leg. An ill-fated young couple tending a lighthouse, a corrupt town, and a witch’s curse await you. Sometimes desolate and isolating, sometimes gorgeous and vibrant, take a peek into the scary stories our most northeastern state has to offer.
Katy tells three very different ghost stories from across the USA: a ghost child with a tragic past in Los Angeles, an ill fated seance in Dallas, and a cursed historical object in New Mexico. No matter what your paranormal preferences are, you’re sure to find something for you in this episode.
Morgan tells Katy about the famously haunted Ancient Ram Inn in England, where things go more than bump in the night. Morgan uses the Ghost Adventures as her guides through this almost thousand year old structure which they seemed only too eager to leave. So turn on your lanterns and finish your s’mores as you learn about the colorful characters that own…and haunt…and investigate this fascinating little place.
With Mardi Gras coming up, Katy takes us to 4800 Canal St. in New Orleans to a former death emporium and tells the rich and morbid history of the mansion as well as the activity that continues to the present. But be warned, this episode contains EVPs (courtesy of the people at http://themortuary.net/) which are truly unsettling. If that only excites you, on you go dear listener!
Katy covers this famously violent and wild location from the occurrences that made it famous in the 60’s to the Most Haunted team’s fateful recent investigation that left physical and mental scars on some who participated. So listen, if you dare, to the horrifying story of the Black Monk of Pontefract! All knocking, all banging, all screaming, all dancing!
Katy takes us to the seaside Chambercombe Manor in England which boasts a bricked up room with terrible secrets and guilt-wracked spirits while Morgan gives an account of a good ol’ demonic possession, 70s style. Could you fit 5 of the most evil people in the world inside your soul?? Listen to see what happens when someone does! *Spoiler* there will be suffering, and not the fun kind.
