Cape Cod has a long history of sea-faring men, and many of its original homes were built to house sea captains. The men are long dead, but their homes are still occupied, and ghosts of the past make themselves known to these current occupants. Katy reads from Ghosts, Myths and Legends as told to the Historical Society of Old Yarmouth, a collection of ghost stories from the new residents of these saltbox homes.

Katy tells the disturbing tale of the Phelps Mansion on Elm St. in Stratford, CT. Not your typical haunting, this is one of those stories where the claims are so incredible it’s hard to believe people in the 1850s had to deal with it. However, it was corroborated by many journalists and visitors, so listen to the Phelps’s tale and decide for yourself.

2020 is upon us! But the future is spooky so Morgan took us to the past. Well, kind of. Morgan is the story teller this week and she’s chosen Amish Haunting to bring us into the new decade, which is appropriate because Morgan and Katy are very much old village women from 1743 so we feel comfortable with modern people who slaughter their own pigs. Listen, laugh, and be uncomfortable but never forget, there ain’t no happy endings in Amish country.
